Mark Cuban

Mark Cuban is an American entrepreneur with a net worth of over $4 billion. As a young adult, Cuban decided to enroll as a full-time student at the University of Pittsburgh, instead of attending his senior year in high school.  He later transferred to Kelley School of Business, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management.  Cuban started his own company, MicroSolutions, with the help of customers from a previous job.

Mark Cuban is now known for being one of the main investors on television, Shark Tank.  Cuban is the owner of the professional basketball team, the Dallas Mavericks. In 2011, he wrote an ebook, How to Win at the Sport of Business. His book goes on to explain his personal life experiences, successes, and failures, in sports and business.

Magic Johnson

Earvin “Magic” Johnson Jr. is an American former professional basketball player.  He is also the former president of basketball operations of the LA Lakers.  Johnson played 13 seasons for the Lakers and is known as the best point guard of all time.  Johnson abruptly retired in 1991, after contracting HIV, but returned to the game in 1992.  He then retired again for 4 more years and returned in 1996.  He played 32 more games with the LA Lakers and retired for the 3rd and final time.  Since his retirement, he has been an advocate for HIV/AIDS prevention, as well as safe sex.  He is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist, and motivational speaker.  He has written multiple books, including Magic Johnson: My Life, Magic’s Touch: From Fundamentals to Fast Break With One of Basketball’s All-Time Greats, and What You Can Do To Avoid Aids. 

Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher is a well-known American actor, model, and entrepreneur.  He stared on popular TV shows and movies such as That 70’s Show, Dude Where’s My Car, Just Married, Punk’d, No Strings Attached, and The Ranch.  Aside from entertainment, Kutcher is also the co-founder of A-Grade Investments.  He has invested in over 50 companies, some of which are Skype, Foursquare, and Airbnb.  In 2009 he and his then-wife, Demi Moore, established a human rights organization, The DNA Foundation.  The Foundation would later be called Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children.  This foundation works to address the issues with child pornography and the exploitation of children all across the world.

Martha Stewart

Martha Helen Stewart is a world-renowned businesswoman, author, and television personality.  Her success can be attributed to multiple business ventures, publishing, broadcasting, and merchandising.  She has written multiple best-selling books.  She was also the host of 2 TV programs, both of which aired for over 10 years.  In 2004, her career fell into jeopardy during her trial and conviction of felony charges.  She served 5 months in federal prison.  After she was released in 2005, she started her comeback campaign.  In 2006, her company began profiting again.  In 2012, she returned to being chairwoman of her company, Martha Stewart, Living Omnimedia.  Following her release from prison, she also released a new book, The Martha Rules.  The book is about starting and managing a new business.  She is currently a common guest on NBC’s Today Show, speaking about cooking, crafts, and gardening.   She offers multiple publications on keynote speeches and public speaking, such How To Become A Confident Speaker, and 6 Lessons From Martha Stewart On What Not to Do In A Keynote Speech.

Tyra Banks

Tyra Banks began her career as a model, while still in high school in 1990 and quickly rose to fame and celebrity status in her career.  Within 3 years, she made her acting debut on the hit TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.  Soon after, she made history by being the first black woman to be named a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and also the first black woman to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated.  She then took her experience as a model and created the TV reality competition show, America’s Next Top Model.  Most recently, at Summit21, Banks gave a keynote speech about having a work-life balance.  She also released a new business focusing on ice cream.  SMiZE Cream is ice cream with a ball of hidden cookie dough truffle chunks.  The new brand is a metaphor for what happens when we dig for our goals; we find a surprise!
