Anant Agarwal is the CEO of edX, a worldwide, online learning initiative of MIT and Harvard University, and a professor in MIT’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department. He has also served as the Director of MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). He is a successful serial entrepreneur, having co-founded several companies including Tilera Corporation, which created the Tile multicore processor, and Virtual Machine Works.Agarwal holds a Ph.D. from Stanford and a bachelor’s from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
