Celeste Kinginger (Ph.D., University of Illinois, 1990) is Professor of Applied Linguistics at the Pennsylvania State University. She is affiliated with the Center for Advanced Language Proficiency Education and Research (CALPER). Her research has examined study abroad, second language pragmatics, and sociocultural approaches to foreign language teaching and learning. Dr. Kinginger has published four book-length works about language learning in study abroad contexts, as well as numerous articles and presentations.
