Jim Craig is an Olympian ice hockey goaltender, best remembered for his outstanding goaltending in the 1980 winter Olympics where the United States team beat the heavily favored Russians and went on to win the Olympic gold medal in what’s has been labeled one of the greatest sports moment of the 20th century.Prior to the 1980 Olympics, Craig attended and played hockey for Boston University. He led BU to the NCAA Division I Champion ship in 1978, and was an NCAA All-Star in 1979. Craig continued to play hockey after the Olympics as a professional in the National Hockey League.
