Before that, he founded EYEBEAM, the nonprofit art and technology incubator that pioneered reBlogging and public campaign finance data geocoding (now Fundrace), and Screenwriters Colony, a retreat for emerging screenwriters pushing the boundaries of the craft. John wrote, produced, and directed two feature films: Without a Trace: June 10, 1979 and Ratchet. He is a Henry Crown Fellow (2003 Discovery Class) at the Aspen Institute, a global forum that promotes enlightened and morally responsible leadership.
