Marie So is the co-founder of Ventures in Development, a non-profit that catalyses creation of social enterprises in the Greater China region. VID believes that social enterprises are a means to bring forth higher levels of economic and social development. Since 2006, Marie and her partner Carol Chyau has founded two social enterprises: Meixiang yak cheese (www.meixiangcheese.com) and Shokay (www.shokay.com) Marie graduated from Harvard Kennedy School’s Masters in Public Administration/International Development program (MPA/ID), Bachelor in Economics, Engineering and Management Science from Northwestern University.
