He covers technology, innovation and other subjects for Bloomberg Media’s multi-platform brands, and serves as Managing Editor of Bloomberg digital videos.In 2013 Sam was a co-host of Bloomberg Television’s weekly program “Bloomberg Brink,” which profiled the innovative people and ideas that will shape our future. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Sam served as the personal technology editor at The New York Times since 2008. He founded The Times’s first personal technology blog, “Gadgetwise,” and “Toolkit,” a personal tech column, which he also wrote. Sam hosted a weekly live webcast and produced videos about tech.While at the New York Times, Sam was a SABEW winner and a Loeb finalist. He contributed to a series on distracted driving which won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting. Sam has also been a writer and editor at The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Esquire and Money.
