In June 2011, Edge began a job as a portable restroom cleaner for construction workers. After working this job for over a year, he became an intern and then assistant video editor for OraBrush. OraBrush is a company that sells tongue cleaners, which became famous strictly from viral marketing on YouTube. It was there that he learned to use his “out of the box” mentality and apply it to making professional Youtube videos. Over the course of four days, he filmed the prank with a small group of friends, edited it, posted the video on Youtube at midnight and then went to bed. Little did he know, this “Mistletoe Kissing Prank” video would go viral.In its first week, “Mistletoe Kissing Prank” received 10 million views. The day he uploaded the “Mistletoe Kissing Prank” video, Edge had 9 subscribers on his YouTube channel. A few weeks later, he had more than 100,000 subscribers. Since he had an audience, he decided to start making YouTube videos regularly.
