Susan has more than 25 years of experience working with executives and companies as a professional communications consultant in the media, corporate and public relations arenas. She has held senior positions at several respected public relations firms and multi-national companies, e.g., head of the corporate division at Golin/Harris and healthcare group at Fleishman Hillard in Los Angeles, two premier public relations firms, and international spokesperson and producer/host of the video programming at pharmaceutical giant, Syntex, now Roche.Susan also is a seasoned broadcast journalist, having been a television reporter, anchor and producer for 10 years. Other positions include general manager of the West Coast division of Burns McClellan, a prominent New York-based healthcare public and investor relations firm, and communications director for the CBS network TV station in Los Angeles where she coordinated public relations activities and served as the stations spokesperson.She has produced numerous award-winning videos for a variety of clients and has conducted media and presentation training seminars for more than 200 senior executives. Susan also has significant crisis communications experience, including: coordinating a media response on behalf of blood product manufacturers following AIDS contamination of the international blood supply; conducting senior management media training and crafting messages involving a controversial contraceptive device; and, creating and implementing an effective media strategy for the leading on-line music provider related to licensing and copyright infringement allegations.Among her best-known programs, Susan helped create and launch the popular Im Having A Maalox Moment campaign and the introduction of the worlds first genetically engineered product for hemophilia. She also spearheaded a national public relations program for Veterinary Pet Insurance, including a video news release (VNR) that garnered more than 100 million impressions in 75 markets and helped implement Searles nationwide Patients In Need program, providing free cardiovascular products to indigent patients. While at CBS in Los Angeles, she negotiated with the Getty Center to be the flagship station for all preview and grand opening events, and produced several primetime stories.Susan has substantial expertise in the travel and hospitality industries, including creation of a novel video restaurant show designed as a DVD for business travelers and hotels.
