Tamara L. Lundgren is the President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. (SSI). SSI (NASDAQ: SCHN) is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of recycled metals in the United States. SSI’s geographic footprint includes operating facilities located along both coasts of the US and in Alaska, Hawaii, Western Canada and Puerto Rico. SSI operates seven deep-water export facilities and a retail auto parts business with o v e r five million annual retail visits. The Company’s steel manufacturing business produces rebar and other long products and has an annual production capacity of approximately 800,000 tons. Prior to joining SSI, Ms. Lundgren was an investment banker and lawyer with 25 years of experience in the US and Europe. Ms. Lundgren was formerly a Managing Director of JPMorgan Chase in London and a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank in New York and London. Ms. Lundgren also practiced as a lawyer and was a partner in the Washington, DC law firm of Hogan & Hartson, LLP (now Hogan Lovells). Ms. Lundgren is a member of the Board of Directors of Ryder System, Inc., Parsons Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Portland Branch. She is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, having recently completed her term as Chairman of the Board.
