Timothy Ericson co-founded Zagster in 2007, after being inspired by the launch of the Velib’ bike sharing service in Paris. He merged his background in corporate IT at a Fortune 500 company with his passion for biking to create a company that now leverages technology to make bikes accessible to hundreds of thousands of Americans.As CEO, he has raised more than $2 million in funding from leading venture capitalists, such as Fontinalis Partners (the venture arm of Ford Chairman Bill Ford) and angel investors, including the first investor in Zipcar. Ericson has led sales and business development efforts, securing partnerships with global brands (Quicken Loans, General Motors, Four Seasons) as well as leading real estate developers (Related, Forest City, Bozzuto Group) and universities (Yale, Duke).Ericson holds an undergraduate degree from Drexel University where he is the recipient of the Young Alumni Entrepreneur Award. He has volunteered for organizations such as the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship as well as many other educational institutions.When not trying to get the world up on two wheels, Ericson loves to travel and explore new places and experience their local customs, culture and food.
